Mental Health Technician

NAMI Central Georgia is looking for a part-time Mental Health Technician.  He or she will be responsible for the following:

  • Supervising residents in all daily aspects of the residential program

  • Act as a liaison with care providers and caseworkers to ensure program and quality of life is in the best interest of the resident

  • Communicate effectively with doctors, family members, staff, and others

  • Assist in the administration of medication, replenishment of medications and ensure proper documentation of the same

  • Transport and accompany residents to and from medical appointments, recreational activities, shopping, and other scheduled activities as assigned by the supervisor

  • Become familiar with each resident's diagnosis and care plan to ensure program and activities are helping to meet outcomes

  • Prepare meals, assist with laundry, redirect client behavior as needed and serve as a role model
