STUDENT INTERNSHIPS

NAMI Central Georgia, Inc. is excited to offer both graduate and undergraduate students an opportunity to have hands-on experience in mental health through internships. We have had a variety of majors participate in our internship program including- behavioral health, psychology, sociology, social work, rehabilitation counseling, mental health counseling, etc.  Student interns have the opportunity to work side by side with staff and supervisors and come into daily direct contact with the mental health consumers in our personal care home and in the community. Student interns also have opportunities to participate in outreach events, collaborative meetings, community awareness events, and continuing education opportunities.  Click on the PDF link to access the internship application.  Ideally, we ask that all interns submit an application three weeks prior to starting their internship program.
